Purple = 7

The Philosopher

Purple reigns in the kingdom of the imagination. It seeks truth above all else.

Introspective and intuitive, purple acts as a conduit to the universe. It represents an inner knowing acting as guidance from within.

Keen and analytical, purple stands for both science and spirituality.

The color purple resonates with the esoteric.

And there is a great love of art and design. But a purple soul in alignment is not concerned about what’s in style or trendy.

It carries with it the mysteries of life where small-mindedness has no place.

The Crown Chakra

Purple is the color of the 7th chakra or crown chakra. It rests at the top of the head and governs communication with the universe.

It is where inspiration and devotion flow forth. It represents union with the higher self and the divine.

Deep and understanding, it's responsible for a healthy spiritual life.

The crown chakra pursues spiritual fulfillment and connection to higher consciousness.

When the crown chakra is in balance there is a sense of completeness. When closed, there can be a feeling of disconnectedness to the world. This may create a lack of openness to new ideas.

An open crown chakra is necessary for spiritual enlightenment. It is also known as the body's portal for awakening.

A kundalini awakening is a kind of ego death. It is the connection to Oneness or the totality of all that is.

Bliss, love, and compassion for all living beings are also signs of an open crown chakra.

The crown chakra is what gives you the awareness that you are a soul within a human body.

The Color Purple

The color purple epitomizes monarchs and grandeur. Purple garments used by the nobility represented luxury and power.

The word purple comes from the Latin word purpura. It was the dye that turned clothing into a rich blue-red shade.

The most luxurious and expensive purple dye was Tyrian purple from mollusks. Small mollusks called murex snails secreted a magnificent purple upon their death.

Tyrian purple, named after the Roman city of Tyre, is present-day Lebanon. Tyrian dyed fabric retained a distinct, fishy smell even after being made into a garment.

The color purple often depicts the villain or evil actors in stories. After centuries of abuse of power by the nobility and priesthood, it makes sense.

But now purple reminds us that the knowledge and wisdom reserved once only for the chosen few is available to us all.

"Purple puts us in touch with the part of ourselves that is regal. Purple is the queen in all women; it helps us keep our backs straight and heads held high."
—Byllye Avery

Soul Colors and Purple = 7

Due to their strong curiosity and mental stamina, purple 7’s are natural born researchers. They have a deep reverence for the nature world.

A Life Path 7 wants to know the how and why of life. They want to understand why things are the way they are. They love esoteric studies and the mysteries of life.

Perceptive and being able to find flaws in any system makes them perfectionistic. The urge toward perfection can cause them not to act on otherwise great instincts.

Life Path 7’s must learn that nothing in life is foolproof. They need to keep their keen minds open and not give in to skepticism.

How does purple (7) show up in your Soul Colors?

Are you feeling a lot of skepticism about life? Are you seen as detached or aloof?

There could be an unconscious need for self-preservation.

Remember you are not alone and the world needs your incredible imagination.

"I think it annoys God if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don't notice it."
